Job summary

NIC Global seeks an NPI Quality and Metrology Engineer to perform dimensional inspection using CMMs and portable scanning arms, ensuring conformance to GD&T and ISO standards. You will manage calibration, MSA studies, and PPAP documentation while supporting IATF 16949 compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in quality/metrology in manufacturing, strong blueprint reading, and experience with QMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in QA/metrology in manufacturing.
Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
Proficient with manual inspection tools and blueprint reading.
Experience with calibration principles and traceability.
Experience with MSA / Gage R&R studies.
Familiarity with PPAP and AIAG core tools.
Understanding of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001.
Proficient with MS Office; QMS/ERP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspection using CMM; generate reports and compare to drawings.
Operate portable scanning/rover arms for 3D geometry capture.
Maintain calibration control system and due-date tracking.
Calibrate measurement equipment per procedures and ISO standards.
Conduct MSA studies and interpret results for process decisions.
Prepare PPAP documentation and quality records.
Document non-conformances and escalate as needed.
Maintain quality records, logs, and audit documentation.
Support IATF 16949 audits with calibration docs.
Collaborate with Quality/Manufacturing/Design to resolve issues.
