Job summary

MBI in Merced, CA is seeking a quality engineer with GD&T and PPAP experience to support supplier quality and PPAP submissions. The role focuses on measuring parts with Keyence CMM/Scanner, performing audits, and managing nonconforming parts within GP and ERP systems.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or 3+ years related experience, strong analytical skills, and fluency with GD&T, Gage R&R, and SPC.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 3+ years of related experience, training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Measure parts using GD&T on prints to develop measurement programs.
Log and track nonconforming supplier parts and issue RMAs.
Audit processes and final inspections in machining and tube welding.
Provide feedback on delinquent RMAs to ensure timely supplier response.
Enter data into the Supplier Quality Portal for PPM and scorecard reporting.
Manage GP and ERP inventory transactions for quality and warranty cost reporting.
Support PPAP for new part sample submissions.
Publish nonconformance reports and conduct daily MRB meetings.
Manage Lab and Quarantine areas for 5S and spare parts.
Support plant calibration program and internal audits/inspections.
Test and/or rework of internal scrap; analyze returned warranty parts for root cause.
Other duties as assigned.
