Job summary
Carrier is hiring a Staff Engineer for New Product Introduction at its Charlotte, NC manufacturing facility. You will support industrialization and launch of new products, validating MCS and pilot runs and ensuring design for manufacture.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, design, or NPI, with strong analytical and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, design, or NPI.
- Master’s degree in Engineering is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences including cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of new products from the manufacturing engineering perspective.
- Drive design for manufacture and field service throughout development.
- Develop cutting edge manufacturing processes.
- Identify equipment and execute capital plans to meet new program needs.
- Communicate program status to various levels of the company.
- Collaborate with tooling, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient production methods.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems; ensure safe work areas.
