Job summary

WaveCrest Staffing Group is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer to drive launches, technology transfers, and partnerships with contract manufacturers. This on-site role in Charlotte, NC focuses on NPI, supplier qualification, and sustainability initiatives across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in chemical or batch manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience in external manufacturing collaborations to ensure successful product

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
10+ years of related experience, or 15 years of hands-on experience in chemical or batch manufacturing.
Experience in NPI, technology transfer, contract manufacturing, manufacturing operations, supplier qualification, business continuity, or sustainability.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of ISO 9000 standards and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Support new product introduction (NPI) and commercialization by evaluating manufacturing locations and coordinating technology transfers from R&D to production.
Oversee qualification batches and evaluate manufacturing performance, including cycle time, yield, and product quality.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify contract manufacturers and suppliers to support business continuity and supply chain growth.
Manage relationships with external manufacturing partners and coordinate projects involving manufacturing expansion, process improvements, and quality requirements.
Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations, troubleshoot production issues, and implement process improvements.
Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure successful product launches and consistent manufacturing performance.
Support sustainability initiatives, including supplier assessments, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), and programs such as RSPO and EcoVadis.
Ensure external partners align with company safety, quality, sustainability, and business continuity objectives.
