Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering or NPI process development.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience creating assembly instructions and process docs.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for part/assembly design.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing, assembly, and design risks early in development.
• Develop manufacturing plans to transfer new products to volume production.
• Build and evaluate electro-mechanical assemblies to optimize processes.
• Create and maintain detailed assembly instructions and process docs.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and design information to establish methods.
• Identify need for tools/fixtures and design/qualify solutions.
• Investigate issues via data collection and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on packaging validation.
• Provide tech support during pilot builds and transfers.
• Train teams on assembly processes and requirements.
• Prepare engineering reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to additional NPI projects as needed.
