Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong NPI experience to transition electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production. You will own substantial portions of the manufacturing value chain, focusing on design for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and supply chain scalability.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or hardware design, exceptional communication skills, and experience with large, complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
• Demonstrated experience integrating large or high complexity assemblies/subassemblies.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Experience in configuration management and change control process (CCB, E&O, Effectivity dates).
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Leverage NPI expertise to transition electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes for high-complexity products.
• Lead projects to install new manufacturing systems and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Use automations and workflows to streamline processes.
• Develop process flows breaking assemblies into subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Write work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable, scalable processes.
• Travel to suppliers for sourcing and issue resolution.
• Contribute to mechanical or electrical design including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Work with QA, design engineering, technicians, PMs to set quality standards and milestones.
