Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Valley Green, PA team. You will lead development of assembly tooling and processes, from design through validation, while aligning with cost and output targets.

The role emphasizes early design involvement to improve manufacturability, reliability, and efficiency across global regions. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 4+ years related experience in the connector industry preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical product drawings.
• Strong tool design experience and Creo skills.
• Ability to write reports and present information clearly.
• Knowledge of design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document assembly tooling for new or existing products, including concepting, quoting, and validating tooling.
• Create and document assembly processes, SOPs, spare parts lists, and preventive maintenance plans.
• Define process steps, sequences, and layouts for assembly operations.
• Determine process flexibility requirements for product configurations.
• Prepare preliminary process specs, equipment, and systems specifications.
• Outline supply chain from raw material to customer application.
• Model cycle times, efficiencies, yields, and balance for processes.
• Participate in FMEA and risk assessments for processes and products.
• Identify critical product/process parameters and assess safety implications.
• Propose cost reduction initiatives for mature assembly processes.
