Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Product Engineer in Valley Green, PA to provide technical expertise in design, development and manufacturing of connector products. In this cross-functional role, you will support strategic plans and act as the technical liaison for sales and marketing.

Qualifications

• BS/MS Mechanical Eng, Electrical or Materials Science degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Pro/E and FEA a plus.
• Good communication with technical and non-technical staff.
• Able to work in a dynamic team.
• Desire to create new products and processes.
• Knowledge of copper alloys and high-performance engineering thermoplastics a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical connectors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product quality and reliability of connectors.
• Integrate new technologies and cost initiatives into designs.
• Manage product specifications at component, process, and field levels.
• Serve as technical liaison for sales and marketing.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing on prototypes and pilot runs.
• Support transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.
• Provide technical assistance to drafters and engineers.
• Support design reviews, testing, and qualification of new products.
• Participate in cost improvements and benchmarking initiatives.
• Create/test fixture designs and test plans for NPI.
