Job summary

Ibis Industries, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with strong NPI experience to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. You will own portions of the manufacturing value chain for high-complexity client products, transitioning from prototype to scalable production.

You will design and implement efficient manufacturing processes, develop DFMs, tool design and selection, and manage quality planning while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
Degree in a technical field (engineering, math, or hard science).
Ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
Experience integrating large/high-complexity assemblies/subassemblies.
Experience with configuration management and change control (CCB, ECOs).
Understanding of product life cycle from NPI to scaled production.

Responsibilities

Leverage NPI expertise to transition complex electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume contract manufacturing.
Own portions of the manufacturing value chain including DFM, tooling selection, process creation and optimization, and quality planning.
Develop process flows by breaking assemblies into subassemblies and sub-processes.
Write and manage manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and inspection requirements.
Lead projects to install new manufacturing systems and coordinate with stakeholders on progress.
