Job summary

Visimid Technologies in Plano, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process development, modeling, and continuous improvement for DoD/aerospace programs. You will design workflows, create routings and standard work, and lead production readiness activities.

The role requires a 4-year degree and 5–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with Lean and Six Sigma proficiency and strong cross-functional collaboration. Travel 4–6 times per year; ITAR qualification may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in DoD/aerospace/regulated environments.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes from concept through production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing system design and process optimization.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and validate manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Design workflows to maximize quality, throughput, and repeatability.
• Develop routings, work instructions, process specs, and standard work.
• Lead process qualification and production readiness activities.
• Support DFM, DFA, and concurrent engineering efforts.
• Build analytical and simulation models to evaluate capacity, labor, and bottlenecks.
• Perform line balancing, takt time, and capacity planning.
• Lead Lean initiatives and value stream mapping.
• Provide technical guidance during process implementation and production transfers.
