Job summary

Ammortal, Inc. is seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to drive the transition from design to scalable production for a complex electromechanical wellness product.

You will own manufacturing readiness, collaborate with engineering, and align with contract manufacturers to ensure timely builds and quality. You will interface across Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Operations teams, guiding DFMA reviews, BOM control, and process validation to deliver reliable production releases and ramp

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of NPI, manufacturing, or product-development experience with complex electromechanical products.
• Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, BOMs, ECOs, drawings, and configuration control.
• Experience supporting engineering validation, pilot, and production builds.
• Cross-functional collaboration across Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Systems, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Contract Manufacturer Interface: primary engineering interface with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• NPI Planning and Build Control: maintain plan from prototype to production launch.
• DFM/DFA Leadership: lead reviews; identify risks and drive resolution.
• Manufacturing Requirements and Test Strategy: develop requirements for assembly processes and testing.
• Documentation and Configuration Control: coordinate BOM readiness and engineering changes.
• Quality Systems and Readiness: establish production acceptance criteria and controls.
• Issue Resolution and Ramp Metrics: track yield, defects, and ramp issues.
• Serviceability and Configuration Consistency: ensure design aligns with service needs and field configurations.
