Job summary

Ammortal Inc. seeks an experienced NPI Engineer to own the transition from design to high‑volume production of its electromechanical wellness device. You’ll act as the main technical interface with contract manufacturers, driving readiness from prototype through pilot and into production.

You will lead DFM/DFA reviews, define manufacturing requirements, and coordinate cross‑functional teams across Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Quality to ensure timely, quality builds.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years in NPI, manufacturing, or product development with complex electromechanical products.
• Experience taking products from prototype through production launch.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, BOMs, ECOs, drawings, and QA methods.
• Experience supporting design validation, pilot builds, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary engineering interface with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain the NPI plan from prototype to production launch.
• Lead DFM/DFA reviews and drive risk resolution before production release.
• Develop manufacturing requirements for assembly, fixtures, tooling, testing.
• Coordinate with Electrical and Firmware to define test strategies.
• Maintain BOM readiness, documentation, and engineering changes with owners.
• Establish production acceptance criteria and manufacturing quality controls.
• Track ramp metrics and drive root‑cause and corrective actions.
