Ammortal, Inc. is seeking an NPI Engineer to own the transition of our complex electromechanical product from design to scalable production. You will lead manufacturing readiness, coordinate with contract manufacturers, and drive DFM/DFA decisions to ensure on-time, quality launches.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience taking physical products from engineering prototypes through production launch.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, ECOs, and configuration control.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and process validation.
• Ability to drive issues to root cause and sustain ramp readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering interface with contract manufacturers and key suppliers for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Develop and maintain the NPI plan from prototype builds through production launch and ramp.
• Lead DFM/DFA reviews and identify manufacturing risks early to drive resolution before production release.
• Define manufacturing requirements for assembly processes, tooling, and test strategy with engineering teams.
• Coordinate BOM readiness, documentation, and engineering changes with owners and manufacturers.
• Establish production acceptance criteria and manufacturing quality controls with the contract manufacturer.
