Job summary

Ammortal, Inc. is seeking an NPI Engineer to scale production of a complex electromechanical wellness device. You will own manufacturing readiness from prototype to production, interfacing with product engineering and contract manufacturers.

You will drive DFM/DFA reviews, manage BOM/configuration, and establish quality controls while coordinating across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and supplier teams. This remote role offers travel opportunities and hands-on impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 4+ years of NPI, manufacturing, or product-development experience with complex electromechanical products.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, BOMs, ECOs, drawings, and production testing.

Responsibilities

• Interface with contract manufacturers for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Develop and maintain the NPI plan from prototype builds through production launch.
• Lead DFM/DFA reviews with multiple engineering teams and suppliers.
• Develop manufacturing requirements for assembly processes, fixtures, tooling, and testing; plan verification.
• Coordinate BOM readiness, approved components, and engineering changes with owners.
