Clopay Corporation, a Griffon Corporation company, is seeking a New Product Procurement Specialist in Mason, OH. You will partner with Design Engineering to guide supplier selection, drive early supplier involvement, and manage prototype tooling orders to ensure on‑time, on‑budget launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain with NPI/engineering sourcing focus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, BOMs, and complex part specifications.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP/RP systems (SAP, Oracle), PLM, and advanced Excel modeling.
• Proven ability to build consensus and communicate across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and vendor partners.
• Track record in cost reduction, tooling negotiation, and contract structuring.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple launch timelines under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Design Engineering teams during early stage concepts to recommend supplier technologies and manufacturing methods.
• Facilitate ESI workshops to optimize part designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Manage rapid‑turn quotation, bidding, and PO execution for prototype tooling and samples.
• Coordinate sample submissions, tooling builds, and FAIR with QA and Product Engineering.
• Lead cost modeling and TCO analyses to meet BOM gross margin targets.
• Identify and qualify strategic suppliers and negotiate NDAs and MSAs.
• Coordinate transitions to sustaining Buyer/Planner teams and monitor ramp‑up.
