Job summary

Katalyst CRO is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive DFM/DFT reviews with design teams and to develop SMT, conformal coating, and related manufacturing processes for our scale-up operations in Henderson, NV.

You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize yields, document work procedures, and support transitions from development to full production while maintaining strong focus on quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s STEM degree required.
• Experience with SMT processes (pick-and-place, reflow) and assembly.
• Familiarity with DFx concepts (Design for Excellence).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience leading projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and improve DFx during design and manufacturing handoffs.
• Develop, validate, and document SMT and other manufacturing processes.
• Support qualification activities and run initial production builds.
• Lead projects and coordinate with Hardware, Test, Quality, and Materials teams.
• Create and maintain work instructions, BOMs, ECOs, and process documentation.
• Identify yield improvement opportunities and cost-reduction ideas.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals.
