Job summary

Amphenol Commercial Air in Endicott, NY seeks a New Product Development Engineering Supervisor to lead an engineering team focused on electrical connectors and busbars. You will guide prototypes, testing, and design transfer while hands-on contributing as needed.

The role requires a strong background in NPD, CAD (Creo), and PDM systems, with leadership and excellent communication. Travel up to 10% and a commitment to safe, compliant engineering practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant NPD engineering experience.
• Hands-on prototyping and testing in product development.
• Experience with electrical connectors or busbars preferred.
• Experience with 3D printing, molding, laser cutting, diffusion welding, or basic machining preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD (Creo or equivalent) and PDM (Windchill or equivalent).
• Familiarity with DO-160, EIA-364, EN2591 or similar standards preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel <10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Oversee product development lifecycle from concept to production transfer.
• Provide hands-on guidance and participate in prototyping and testing.
• Coordinate with Operations and Quality across departments.
• Lead design reviews and project execution.
• Ensure shop/lab safety and training on equipment.
