Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead product development for power connectors and cable assemblies. You will drive technical direction, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration across mechanical and electro-mechanical disciplines.

Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering is required.
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design/product development for electrical components.
Strong expertise in power connector design and related interface systems.
Experience with 3D CAD (Creo), DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews ensuring cross-functional alignment and adherence to customer expectations.
Drive cost reduction through innovative design and manufacturing improvements.
Mentor engineering teams and lead training on power connector design and applications.
Develop power connectors, contact systems, and cable assemblies from concept to production.
Create and maintain technical documentation, DHF, and qualification reports.
Support manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams for successful product launches.
