Amphenol Commercial Air in Endicott, NY is seeking a Design Engineer to develop layouts and production drawings, ensuring form, fit and function through dimensional studies and customer data correlation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, and experience in design engineering with proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Creo; travel is minimal and collaboration with multiple departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in design or design engineering.

Responsabilités

• Prepares designs and specifications; assists in layouts.
• Interfaces with departments for manufacturing and testing of samples.
• Interfacing with customers and vendors to assure conformance to specifications.
• Possesses working knowledge of PTC Creo and Windchill.
• Make drawings for production and customers.
• Coordinate manufacturing of customer prototypes.
• Process estimate and product requests.
• Review customer documents for compliance and modify designs as needed.
• Occasional travel (<10%).
• Collaborate with Business Development and Product Managers.
