Job summary

Condux International is seeking a Design Engineer for New Product Development to drive concepts into production. You will turn customer needs into practical engineering solutions, make critical decisions, and coordinate with product management, marketing, operations, and quality teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in product development, with Creo CAD proficiency, prototyping, testing, and strong knowledge of lifecycle and DFMEA/FEA practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
• 3+ years of experience in product development, complex mechanical equipment preferred
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Creo preferred)
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and product validation
• Strong understanding of the product lifecycle and engineering processes
• Familiarity with FEA, DFMA and DFMEA
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage assigned engineering work
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
• Experience with complex assemblies containing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Constructive, collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• New Product Development from concept through production using Stage-Gate process
• Translate customer and market requirements into engineering specifications
• Design and validate products to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, operations, and quality teams
• Create and review engineering documentation and product specifications; oversee prototyping and testing
• Apply FEA and DFMEA to evaluate performance and mitigate risk
• Plan and manage assigned engineering work, meet milestones, and communicate progress
• Support manufacturing during product launch and troubleshoot engineering issues
