The Glynn Care Center within Coastal Health District of the Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking qualified clinicians to provide primary medical care and HIV/AIDS-focused services under physician supervision. The incumbent will complete physicals, treat, counsel, and, in some cases, prescribe medications.
This is a part-time position not eligible for benefits; staff are considered essential for emergencies and may be asked to support SPOCs/PODs as needed.
Provide healthcare services at the Glynn Care Center. The center provides primary medical care and consultation for clients infected with or at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. Incumbent will provide healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed physician. Incumbent will complete physicals, provide treatment, counsel clients, and in some cases, prescribe medication.

All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Performs a comprehensive assessment of clients’ health care needs: Uses appropriate interview techniques to obtain pertinent present, past, family, social, and sexual histories.
NP-Doctorate or Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as a APRN AND AND CPR certification PA-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in physician assistant studies and two years of general medicine experience; or Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and completion of physician assistant training program of at least Twenty-four months certified by the Accreditation Review Commission of the PA, ARC-PA, and certification to practice as a Physician Assistant by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners (or eligibility to obtain within one year).
