Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with ER/ICU experience to join the hospital team.

The APN/PA will provide patient-centered care within a coordinated care model, collaborating with physicians and staff to assess, plan, and implement treatment plans for emergency and inpatient populations. Required credentials include NJ RN license, NP license, BLS, ACLS, and NCCPA or AANP/ANCC board certification.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and practice.

Job description

Hiring an per diem DAY Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in Emergency Room, RRT, Critical Care Medicine or Inpatient Medicine.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program. 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice. 4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate). 5. National Provider Identifier (NPI). 6. Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law. 7. Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff. 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 9. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
