Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a highly qualified Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to support a structural heart service both inpatient and outpatient.

The role emphasizes leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation, and collaboration with the hospital team to assess, plan, and implement patient care. Required are an NLN/AACN accredited program, a Nurse Practitioner or PA degree, and board certification with NPI and prescriptive authority per NJ law.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Job description

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Structural Heart Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant working to support the service both inpatient and outpatient. Prior APP experience in a cardiac setting preferred.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
