Job summary

Ascension is seeking a qualified nurse to join the team across Franklin, Columbia St. Mary’s, and Elmbrook Hospitals in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00, with no weekends or call, providing care, assessments and treatment to patients across multiple facilities.

• RN/NP licensure Wisconsin or Minnesota obtained prior to hire.

• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Provide direct treatment and management via referrals.
• Counsel patients and families on prevention and resources.
• Document care following nursing standards and policy.

Start Bonus: $5,000

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Monday - Friday: 8:00-5:00. No weekends or call
• Full day schedule working at either Franklin, Columbia St. Mary's or Elmbrook Hospital.
• Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
• Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • One or more of the following:
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
