Job summary

Ascension Franklin is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg department. The role involves delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care during nights, with full-time schedule and responsibilities across patient monitoring, advocacy, and care coordination.

You will participate in discharge planning and ensure patients and families understand home-care needs for a successful recovery. Wisconsin RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Wisconsin or multi-state license as applicable.
• BLS certification maintained or completed within 30 days of hire.

• Coordinate a seamless care journey by acting as the central link between physicians, specialists, and support staff to provide a unified treatment experience.
• Empower patients and their families by spearheading the discharge planning process, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge needed for a successful recovery at home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin
• Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
