Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer to direct mechanical design and technology maturation for advanced exhaust nozzle components, focusing on CMC materials for next-gen military propulsion. You will own development lifecycle tasks, from concept to testing, while collaborating with materials, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates have a 3+ year background in mechanical design/analysis, a Bachelor’s or higher in engineering, and the ability to maintain U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and/or mechanical analysis.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and technology maturation for advanced exhaust nozzle components with emphasis on CMC materials.
• Own technical execution across the development lifecycle including concept design, analysis, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with materials, manufacturing, test, and systems teams to ensure producibility and test readiness.
• Resolve complex design challenges in a fast-paced, evolving environment with sound engineering judgment.
• Present progress, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
