Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an XBAT AVEN Mechanical Design Advanced Lead Engineer in Evendale, OH. You will lead the design, analysis and validation of the vectoring exhaust nozzle module for the F110 engine, partnering with Shield AI to advance unmanned aircraft capability.

Lead cross-functional teams, develop drawings, perform FEA/CFD, drive manufacturability, and mentor engineers while aligning with safety and airworthiness requirements. Relocation and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design and analysis experience in aerospace or related high-tech industry.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly; familiarity with additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems and components for vectoring nozzle.
• Develop drawings and ensure producibility and integration with engine and air vehicle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mechanical, thermal, and systems engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time development and integration.
• Develop verification and validation plans including rig and engine test support.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks across product lifecycle.
• Present designs and results to stakeholders and certification representatives.
