Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer for Mechanical Components to drive design, analysis, and development of engines and components. You will execute projects with rigorous engineering principles, collaborating across disciplines to meet program requirements and security standards.

The role emphasizes technical execution within established processes, with some autonomy and opportunities to mentor junior team members while contributing to system-level improvements and program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical analysis on multiple model types, plus software skills in Ansys Workbench or Ansys Classic, and Python scripting.
• Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and apply it to policy/strategy and project execution.
• Understand how work of the team integrates with other teams to contribute to the area and use judgment to propose viable solutions with guidance.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members and contribute to problem solving across disciplines.
