Job summary

The client is seeking an experienced Audit Manager specializing in Not-for-Profit organizations to lead nonprofit audit engagements in the Greater Chicagoland area. This role emphasizes ownership of engagements, mentorship of staff, and building long-term client relationships with nonprofit organizations.

Qualified candidates will have 5–7+ years of public accounting audit experience, strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and a CPA designation is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5–7+ years of audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit clients.
• Oversee planning, fieldwork, reporting, and deliverables.
• Develop budgets, staffing plans, and timelines.
• Review financial statements and attestation documents.
• Mentor and supervise audit staff.
• Communicate with client leadership and Partners.
