Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC seeks an experienced AFCENT NOSC Lead Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for enterprise network and server services supporting AFCENT missions. You will guide teams overseeing OS, AD, DNS, storage, virtualization, patching, and security, across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

The role focuses on performance analysis, incident handling, and engineering planning to ensure mission resilience, reliability, and cybersecurity for critical DoD infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level IT degree or equivalent and 5+ years in IT work; extensive DoD network exposure preferred.
• Experience with Windows Server deployment, AD domain services, and security tools.
• Hands-on familiarity with network infrastructure, DNS/DHCP, VPNs, and storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for enterprise network and server services across AFCENT environment.
• Direct engineering teams responsible for OS, AD, messaging, DNS, storage, virtualization, patching, and future services.
• Analyze network performance trends and propose reliability and security improvements.
• Develop operations concepts, engineering plans, and documentation; support meetings and briefings.
• Manage DoD network intrusion devices and information assurance tools including CA and VPNs.
• Provide IT management support and O&M coordination for CONUS/OCONUS operations.
