Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks an AFCENT NOSC Lead Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for enterprise network and server services within the AFCENT mission environment.

Lead teams operating OS, AD, DNS, storage, virtualization, patch management, and security, across CONUS/OCONUS theaters, ensuring reliability and mission effectiveness. The role requires DoD network operations expertise, IA tools, VPN/CA experience, and strong planning/documentation skills, with travel as needed

Qualifications

• B.S. in related field and 5+ years IT experience preferred.
• Experience with firewall, Unix/Linux, HBSS.
• Knowledge of network threat concepts and security practices.
• Experience installing Windows Server in host/compute environments.
• Experience with storage, DNS, DHCP, remote access, and core network services.
• Experience designing and managing Active Directory and server infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support and integrate OS, AD, Messaging, DNS, Storage, DB and future server services.
• Provide technical direction for Enterprise Admin, Boundary Systems, Patch Management, Directory Services, Storage/Virtualization teams.
• Analyze network metrics and identify performance issues.
• Produce reports/trend analyses on bandwidth and security incidents.
• Recommend solutions to resolve or prevent network problems.
• Manage DoD intrusion devices and IA tools including CA and VPNs.
• Develop IT concepts of operations and engineering plans.
• Provide general IT and network management support.
• Offer O&M support and documentation/briefings as required.
• Coordinate CONUS/OCONUS deployment/TDY travel as needed.
