Job summary

LocalEyes is a leading localization services provider with a global footprint in the US and Europe. We are recruiting Norwegian MTPE post-editors to join our growing remote teams and deliver high-quality translations aligned with client specifications.

This freelance remote role requires native Norwegian proficiency, strong English, and experience with MTPE, TM tools, and CAT tools to handle IT/software content effectively.

Qualifications

• Degree in Translation or applied linguistics or equivalent experience.
• Native Norwegian speaker with strong English skills.
• MTPE experience required.
• Experience with TM tools, TMS, SDL Studio, and CAT tools.
• Ability to work in IT/software localization and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Post-edit MT outputs to reflect the source meaning.
• Provide corrections and text optimization per client specifications.
• Follow post-editing guidelines and meet quality standards.
• Work with translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
• Maintain terminology and cultural accuracy; ensure grammatical correctness.
• Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, and country-specific terms per guidelines.
