Job summary

HDR's Power Sector is seeking a Northwe st Region Business Development Leader to drive client engagement, growth strategy, and major pursuits across utilities, developers, and industry partners. This role requires 15+ years in the power market, a proven ability to lead teams, and strong strategic insight into the Northwest energy landscape.

You will mentor teams, shape regional plans, and ensure resources align to opportunities, while traveling to meet clients across the Northwest.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the power market.
• Proven success in leading major business development efforts and client relationships.
• Deep knowledge of Northwest energy market.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel and engage with clients regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth: drive HDR’s market share and revenue growth across the Northwest region.
• Build client relationships: act as trusted advisor to utilities and developers.
• Drive business development: lead major pursuits and campaigns; guide proposals.
• Shape market strategy: define regional plans with leadership teams.
• Mentor and train: develop BD skills across teams and maintain market knowledge.
• Align resources: ensure talent and capabilities meet client needs and growth opportunities.
