Job summary

EpicWorks in Cleveland, OH seeks a Northeast Ohio Organizer to build our grassroots base, recruit and train volunteer leaders, and support campaigns. The role centers on engaging communities, forging alliances, and coordinating outreach in the 2026 cycle.

You will organize phone banking, canvassing, and events; manage contact lists; and help translate organizing into impact while working with a multiracial working class to advance justice.

Qualifications

• Experience doing field organizing in a community org, union, or electoral campaign.
• Ability to train and develop volunteer leaders.
• Belief in leadership development and ownership of projects.
• Excellent communication, listening, and executive skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task with attention to detail.
• Experience working with diverse volunteers across demographics.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with activists, members, and leaders.
• Organize grassroots engagement on campaigns and movement-building.
• Coordinate phone banking, text banking, canvassing, and postcarding for 2026 elections.
• Identify volunteer needs and recruit members to fill roles.
• Suggest engagement strategies to grow leadership and supporters.
• Manage contact lists and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to party objectives and adapt plans as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
