Job summary

Appian in the United States seeks a Partner Technical Success Architect supporting North America. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to GSIs and enterprise partners, guiding the architecture of complex transformations and ensuring implementations meet high standards.

Room to influence Appian's AI tooling for partners, mentor senior technical leads, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure deployments. Some travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Software Architecture with a track record of designing large-scale systems.
• Deep proficiency in Database Design, API Integrations, Security Frameworks, Performance Tuning, and Cloud Deployment Models.
• Experience collaborating with GSIs, regional systems integrators, and enterprise delivery teams across North America.
• Proven experience conducting architecture reviews, code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices for scalable enterprise platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to command respect from partner executives and developers.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% to visit partner delivery teams and conduct onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Guide partner delivery teams across North America to ensure engineering practices align with Appian's standards.
• Review complex enterprise designs for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor partner leads, solution architects, and developers to build high-performing teams.
• Collaborate with North American partner leads, Customer Success, and Technical Support to diagnose and resolve architecture challenges.
• Create and curate reusable design patterns, integration blueprints, and fixes for Appian AI tooling.
• Provide technical SME support across the partner community via live forums, Q&A, and training assets.
• Work with Customer Success and Product Engineering to vet alternate channel designs for business robustness.
