Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Business Development Professional and Senior Project Manager to lead mining sector growth across the Mountain Region. You will manage major client accounts, guide strategic planning, and oversee complex mining projects from permitting to delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of environmental consulting in mining, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field; advanced degrees and professional registration preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including mining sector, with at least 5 years in a consulting role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand mining business across the western United States; drive regional growth and client accounts.
• Develop strategies, proposals, and client interviews to win work and grow revenue.
• Oversee permitting, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with regulators and clients.
• Mentor staff in regulatory strategy, project management, and technical practices.
• Foster integrated service delivery across Stantec and develop a strong market presence.
