Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Mining Consultant to join the mining team in the West or South West office locations. You will lead high‑level client engagement, drive business development, and guide complex mining projects from scope to delivery.

The role requires deep mining knowledge, senior leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor staff while traveling up to 50% to project sites across the western United States.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• 30+ years of relevant mining experience.
• Preference for experience in Environmental Services, Oil & Gas, and sectors beyond mining.
• Experience in both consulting services and operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage business development for mining projects with current and new clients.
• Engage mining clients to identify new opportunities and solutions.
• Travel to mining sites and meet clients to assess challenges and propose approaches.
• Lead project scope, budgets, and design approaches for projects of varying size.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor local staff; coordinate with other units.
