Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen seeks a Logistics Operations Manager to lead inland logistics across North America, including last-mile, truck, and rail transportation. You will coordinate with internal teams, carriers, contractors and OEM partners to ensure efficient execution and on-time delivery.

You will drive capacity forecasting, implement Nissan and WW IT projects, onboard carriers, and collaborate with SCM, Quality, IS/IT, and Finance to meet business objectives and improve system connectivity and

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in planning and directing operations.
• At least 3 years experience managing the employee lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, development, termination, and moves.
• Skill at interpreting diagrams and repair manuals.
• Understand revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results.
• SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications.
• Clean driving record, ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
• Note-this role requires the flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity forecasting and resource alignment with Sales and Vehicle Operations to meet delivery targets.
• Direct WW VPCs across North America to ensure accurate vehicle revenue recognition for Nissan.
• Oversee onboarding of new carriers and ensure compliance with Nissan requirements.
• Collaborate with SCM, Quality, IS/IT, and Finance to improve system connectivity, compliance, and performance.
• Support TMS implementation and carrier audit responses.
