Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall is seeking a Noodle Bar Cook to prepare items according to recipes and Head Chef directions. You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation in line with Health Department standards and ensure consistent quality.

Responsibilities include following recipes precisely, participating in training, upholding SOPs, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Candidates must be 21+, pass background checks, and be able to obtain a Kentucky gaming license.

Qualifications

• Progressive cook experience required.
• Noodle bar or Wok experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes, measurements, quantities, and other information so each menu item can be duplicated consistently.
• Actively participate in training, become familiar with each recipe, and ensure recipe adherence.
• Uphold the standard kitchen operating procedures on a consistent basis.
• Ensure all prep items and recipes are made to approved standards.
• Breakdown prep areas at the end of each meal period and ensure proper product storage.
• Inspect food preparation, and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices.
• Position, arrange, and garnish food according to recipe.
• Collect food requisitions from commissary as directed.
• Make certain all products are placed and restocked in designated areas.
• Report any product or stock needed immediately to kitchen management.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of all food products and ensure all products are properly rotated.
• Immediately report any malfunctions of equipment to ensure optimum operation and minimal down time.
• To provide BIG Service to internal and external guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.

JOB SUMMARY

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Progressive cook experience required.
• Noodle bar or Wok experience, preferred.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
