Job summary

Comprehensive-Community-Action in Cranston, RI seeks a full-time fiscal support specialist to provide ongoing technical and accounting support to the Fiscal Department and CFO.

The ideal candidate has a finance or accounting degree, strong Excel skills, nonprofit accounting knowledge, payroll and general ledger experience.

Excellent written and oral communication, organizational skills, background checks and immunizations completion are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Finance/Accounting preferred or AA with related experience.
• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting, particularly grant management.
• Payroll and general ledger accounting experience.
• Excellent Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, reporting.
• Strong writing and oral communication abilities.
• Organizational skills with ability to prioritize.
• Complete required immunizations and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all required fiscal reports and supporting documentation for each grant or contract.
• Maintain files of reports and backup material for audits and reviews.
• Compare grant Budget vs. Actual reports to ensure billing and revenue/expense reasonableness.
• Other duties as assigned by the Fiscal Department.
