Job summary

W3Global Inc. in Hawaii is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a nonprofit organization. You will oversee day-to-day nonprofit financial operations, grant accounting, and compliance, working closely with the Controller in a staff-free role.

You will maintain the general ledger, manage AP/AR, prepare financial reports, track grant budgets, and assist with audits and year-end activities. This position emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and timely reporting to support the mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years nonprofit accounting experience, including grant accounting.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years nonprofit accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and vendor support.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Track grant budgets and ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements.
• Assist with audits, year-end closing, and tax documentation.
• Support the Controller with financial reporting, compliance, and internal control activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records.
