Washington County Mental Health Services, Inc. seeks a Financial Controller to lead the nonprofit’s financial operations on-site in Barre, VT.

You will manage the general ledger, generate statements, and supervise payables, receivables, payroll, and cash management while strengthening internal controls and budgeting processes. You will provide leadership with financial analysis for strategic decisions and coordinate audits to ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services organizations is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience coordinating audits and developing internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting systems.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the general ledger and full-cycle accounting functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Develop and maintain internal controls; support budget preparation and monitoring.
• Provide financial analysis to leadership for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Coordinate audits to ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with program directors and senior leadership to align financial practices with mission.
