Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager in the Industry Specialty Services Group to deliver senior-level nonprofit financial management and consulting services to clients locally and virtually. The role focuses on operational excellence, financial sustainability, and collaborating with leadership to drive impact.

The ideal candidate has extensive nonprofit accounting experience, supervisory skills, and proficiency with Sage Intacct/NetSuite and Excel. Travel up to 20% is required, and CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance required.
• MBA or MPA preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level financial management services to nonprofits during organizational change.
• Oversee month-end close, budget development, cash flow planning, and financial system implementation.
• Support leadership and Board in financial decisions with clear analyses.
• Assist in compliance with nonprofit financial reporting standards.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and advise on financial sustainability.
• Oversee grant compliance including budgeting, billing, and reporting.
