Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen Wealth Advisors, LLC is seeking a Controller for our Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice in multiple locations including Chicago, IL. You will act as the Controller for designated nonprofit clients, advise on best practices, and manage client engagements with deadlines.

The role requires eight years of accounting/finance experience, a bachelor’s degree, and nonprofit experience. CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Eight years of accounting/financial experience required.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Nonprofit sector experience highly preferred.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for designated nonprofit clients served by CAAS.
• Serve as consultant and advisor on accounting and finance best practices.
• Provide project management and manage multiple client workstreams and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and provide recommendations.
• Foster opportunities and participate in industry events and trainings.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and accounting standards.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
