Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen in Missouri is seeking a Controller for our Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice. You will act as the Controller for designated clients, advise on accounting and finance-related engagements, and manage multiple client projects and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has eight years of accounting/financial experience, a bachelor's degree, nonprofit experience, and CPA is preferred but not required. Public accounting background is preferred; relocation or travel expectations may apply.

Qualifications

• Eight years of accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit is highly preferred.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for designated nonprofit clients.
• Advise clients on best practices for accounting and finance engagements.
• Provide project management across multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.
• Foster opportunities and attend industry events and trainings.
• Maintain knowledge of organizational policies and current accounting standards.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and actions.
