Confident Search Consultants is seeking an experienced Audit Manager specializing in Not-for-Profit organizations to join its public accounting practice in the Chicagoland area. The role offers ownership of engagements, team leadership, and partnership progression in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of public accounting audit experience, strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and a track record in managing staff and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5–7+ years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and financial statements.
• Experience supervising audit staff and developing staff.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit clients.
• Oversee planning, fieldwork, financial reporting, and deliverables.
• Develop audit strategies, budgets, staffing, and timelines.
• Review financial statements, footnotes, and workpapers.
• Communicate engagement progress and recommendations to client leadership.
• Collaborate with Partners on engagement strategy and business development.
