Job summary

Imprimis Group has partnered with an amazing nonprofit in Rockwall, TX seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting and nonprofit compliance. This role offers the chance to own the accounting function and work closely with leadership.

The ideal candidate has nonprofit accounting experience, leads month-end close, and ensures GAAP compliance, with strong Excel skills and QuickBooks Online proficiency.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Nonprofit accounting experience strongly required.
• Experience with month-end close, financial statements, budgeting and audit support.
• Working knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices, including restricted funds and Form 990 requirements.
• Experience communicating financial information to leadership and/or Board members.
• Payroll/HRIS experience; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash flow.
• Support annual organizational and program budgets.
• Coordinate the annual audit process and work with external auditors and accounting resources.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable nonprofit accounting requirements.
• Maintain nonprofit financial documentation and support required regulatory and tax filings, including Form 990.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting materials for leadership and Board review.
• Communicate financial results and relevant information to executive leadership and Board representatives.
• Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, policies and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.
• Support grant budgeting, financial reporting and other finance-related development activities.
• Coordinate insurance administration and related financial documentation.
• Handle confidential financial, employee and organizational information with discretion.
