Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager on Duty in El Centro to oversee the Non-Food Department and overall store operations. You will ensure inventory accuracy, customer service, and safety compliance while supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager as needed.

The role requires strong cash handling, leadership, and training abilities, with prior retail supervisory experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with familiarity with plan-o-gram and pricing

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• When manager on duty, authorize refunds and overrides; sign for refunds, count register.
• Assist in maintaining cash accountability and security practices.
• Manage store in Store Manager's and Assistant Manager's absence.
• Train employees in non-food stocking, presentation, and recovery standards.
• Ensure scheduling coverage and store safety standards.
• Oversee receipt and handling of new merchandise and inventory control.
• Direct and assist with unloading trucks and organizing stock areas.
