Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Leader to manage the Non-Food Department and act as Manager on Duty when required. You will oversee inventory, merchandising, customer service, and safe store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Primary responsibilities include cash handling, staff training, receiving/stocking, and executing store workflows. Prior retail leadership experience is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to operate cash registers.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety policies.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan‑o‑gram and merchandise guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Non-Food Department and store when manager on duty.
• Authorize refunds/overrides; count register; deposit money.
• Assist in ensuring financial integrity and cash control procedures.
• Train employees and lead in Store/Assistant Manager absence.
• Train associates in stocking, presentation, and hourly recovery standards.
• Ensure adequate scheduling coverage and store workflow execution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organize receiving and staging areas.
• Direct and assist unloads and proper merchandise rotation.
