Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform cash register functions efficiently.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as percentages.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Non-Food Department and overall store when designated as manager on duty.
• Authorize refunds and overrides; count register and deposit money in bank.
• Assist in ensuring financial integrity and strict cash accountability.
• Supervise Store Manager/Assistant Manager absence and provide training to employees.
• Train associates in stocking, presentation, and hourly recovery standards.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing integrity, and sign execution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure safe, organized store operations.
• Direct unloading, receiving, and organization of new merchandise.
